CPR Rescuers offers many diverse programs to suite your individual needs.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

The Heartsaver CPR course is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults as well as breathing difficulties in children. This program teaches rescue breathing with and without the use of barrier devices.

Healthcare Provider CPR/AED

The Healthcare Provider course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED, and relief of FBAO in responsive and nonresponsive victims. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and our of hospital.

 Universal First Aid

The Universal First Aid course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.
Are you a new parent? What should you do if your child falls and hits his head? What if you think your daughter may have a broken arm? Should you use a heat pad or ice on that bruise? Whether you’re a parent, a concerned neighbor, or a concerned co-worker, these are questions you may have asked yourself. Whether you’re at home or at work where OSHA regulates a certain level of preparedness, first aid skills are invaluable.

Wilderness First Aid

This certification covers, Wilderness medicine with topics on expedition and disaster medicine, dive medicine, search and rescue, altitude illness, cold- and heat-related, wilderness trauma, and wild animal attacks. The Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) explores health risks and safety issues in extreme situations such as mountains, jungles, deserts, caves, marine environments, and space. WMS is the world’s leading organization devoted to wilderness medical challenges.

First Aid & CPR/AED

This course teaches adult, child and infant CPR, AED* and Universal First Aid. The course will also include First Aid for Airway Obstruction for the conscious and unconscious victim. Also in this course you will learn Adult, Child and Infant CPR with the use of a barrier device during rescue breathing, and the use of an AED. In addition you will learn Universal Fist Aid techniques for individuals with acute or sudden illnesses until proper medical attention can be provided.

CPR for Family & Friends

The CPR for family and friends course is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers skills in CPR and relief of FBAO in the responsive victim. The course presents information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, and signs of choking in infants and children. This course will also cover the AED.

Child & Infant CPR/First AidIn this course you will learn child and infant CPR with the use of a barrier device during rescue breathing, including First Aid for Airway Obstruction for the conscious and unconscious Child and Infant. In addition you will learn Universal Fist Aid techniques for Children and Infants with acute illnesses until proper medical attention can be provided as well as AED for children.

 Instructor Training Course

The Core Instructor Course provides a foundation for teaching and facilitating American Heart Association courses in various areas of specialization. You will be trained by one of the best instructors in the Southwest to not only teach a class but most importantly, how to positively impact and enhance classroom material retention.

Through professionally developed modules, the course teaches these five general competencies identified by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI):
